My Journey to My Pro Card
Hi, I’m Nicole, an ICN Bikini PRO. I began my bodybuilding journey in 2021, competing in my first bikini competition with ICN New Zealand.
That first experience was incredibly empowering and deeply satisfying. I fell in love with the sport, and stepping on stage for the first time ignited a passion in me to continuously improve and push myself further.
Every prep journey has been a transformative experience, helping me grow both physically and mentally. In 2022, I achieved my first regional title at Hawke’s Bay, followed by winning the ICN National Bikini Title and earning my PRO card.
In 2023, I made my PRO debut at the ICN Bali International competition. Since then, I’ve dedicated 2024 to a focused build phase, preparing for the highly anticipated ICN Oceania competition in 2025, which New Zealand is hosting for the first time.
My 3 Tips for Becoming a Pro:
1. Focus on Yourself and Enjoy the Process: Your journey is uniquely yours, so don’t get caught up comparing yourself to others. Work on cultivating a strong mindset, celebrate your progress, and remember to have fun along the way.
2. Invest in an Experienced Coach: Find a coach with a track record of successfully prepping clients for competitions. A great coach will guide you through every step, from training to nutrition, ensuring you’re prepared to succeed on stage.
3. Do Your Research Before Committing: Before diving in, attend a bodybuilding show to get a feel for what show day is like. Participate in ICN workshops to learn about posing, competition requirements, and the demands of prep. This will help you decide if this journey aligns with your goals and lifestyle.
